Driving From Vancouver - 4.5 Hours Driving Time. Scenic, sometimes winding mountain highway.
- Trans Canada Highway #1 East to Hope, at interchange, take Highway #3 towards Princeton and Keremeos.
- At Keremeos, turn left onto Highway #3A.
- From Bear's Fruit Stand on Highway #3A (you can't miss it, on your left), drive 11.5 km to the turn off to Green Mountain Rd. There is a blue highway sign on your right at which point you will need to move into the left hand turning lane to take the first left onto Green Mountain Road. The turn off is hard to see in the dark.
- Stay on Green Mountain Rd for 14 km until the intersection with Apex Mountain Rd (at the Apex Guest Ranch).
- Drive another 11 km to the village entrance. Follow the signs toward the Village Centre.
For The Adventurous Soul With A Good Car:
- On Highway #3 from Princeton, drive 38 km to Hedley (before Keremeos).
- Drive 2.7 km from bridge; turn left onto Hedley Nickel Plate Road, marked only with a very small sign on the side of the road. This road is a single lane, dirt, steep, winding road not for the faint of heart, but with spectacular views. Stay on the main road, past the mine building (being decommissioned). The road will start to widen, though is still gravel.
- Pass by Nickel Plate Nordic Centre, the road will eventually turn into pavement. At this point keep going down about 1 km, stay right to drive down to the Village Centre.
